Uncle Vanya Runs Final Weekend

The modern adaptation of the Chekhov classic, Uncle Vanya runs for a final weekend on the Eldred stage. This modern adaptation by Annie Baker is set in present day Russia with a sound design heavily featuring Bon Iver and The Budos Band.

      David is an assistant professor in the Department of Theater at CWRU. He regularly directs on the Eldred stage, most recently In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play. As an actor, he has worked regionally at South Coast Repertory and Chautauqua Theatre Company, and locally at Ensemble Theatre. On screen, he appeared in Saving Private Ryan opposite Tom Hanks and more recently, in the Bruce Willis actioner Acts of Violence. His television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, House, and Dexter. He is a member of Actors Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.

     The undergraduate student cast includes Paige Yepko, Sara Young, Oliver Ruhl, Brett DiCello, Nailah Mathews, Matt Thompson, Bradley Schneider, Bessie Bulman, Sarah Parr, Harper Case and Fernando Rivera.

Weekend performances of Uncle Vanya will run Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 25 at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased Online or at the Eldred box office.
